10/26/14 Worship and Praise: Your Body as a Living Sacrifice

What a blessed service today!  (See Below).

First of all, the biscuit and sausage gravy breakfast was great!  Thank you to the cooks for such hard work.

Upcoming events: Saturday November 8 is our autumn festival and the community is invited. We’ll have games, candy, a cakewalk, food and fun, not to mention GOD will be here as well.

There is also a ladies' Bible study on Friday:

In the beginning of the first video below , you can hear the announcements on upcoming events.

About this post:   I was unable to record the heart-felt thanks our congregation gave Pastor Scott and his family for being such a blessing to our community.
Below: Chad begins service with announcements.

Below: Pastor Scott gives us a message about sacrificing our bodies to God.

Below: I was unable to record as much of the Praise Team as I’d have liked, but I did catch Dajunna, Cashi,  Cori, Mathew and the gang having a good time getting ready for today’s service.

Here are some pictures I took today:

Joyce Meyers: Defeating our Bad Moods and Find Joy

I have grown to like Joyce Meyers after listening to her on the radio most work mornings for over a year.  This is worth listening to if you find you lack joy in your life.

Liz Curtis Higgs: Ruth and Boaz

Liz Curtis Higgs is a woman I heard on the radio this morning.  This is a little something I found from her this evening.

This popular author and speaker tells the story of Boaz, who became a young girl's "prince charming" and foreshadowed Christ's grace.

Joyce Meyers, "The Robot" (What about me?)

I heard this on the radio this morning and thought I'd share it with you:

Whose Name will you Proclaim?

There will be one name that I proclaim!

Great song here.

Wednesday Night Turnout.... Wow!

As Pastor Scott and Dajunna say, it's hard to believe that a couple years ago not many people would show up on Wednesday night.

Let me tell you, there were a lot tonight!

Here are some pictures.  Click on the first to enlarge then use your 'right' arrow key to scroll through full screen images.

Combined Spanish-English Service, Praise, and Baptisms

Picture: Pastor David and his Wife Erica

Today we were treated to a wonderful "combined"  service.   Our Hispanic Brother, David Castillo, preached to the combined congregation in Spanish, while his wife, Erica,  translated to English.

Pastor David drove home the concept of our church's namesake,  faith, and gave many Biblical examples of its power.

Prior to David's message, Dajunna and Erica played a lovely instrumental with flute and piano.  My perspective on the performers was poor so I had to move after the music began.

The sanctuary was full and vibrant today, and we had two Baptisms, Praise the LORD!  (Pictures posted below)

Several pictures below taken before and after service today.  We had food and fellowship also today of which I also took a few pictures.
