Who we are

We exist in this community for multiple reasons, but first and foremost is to be the "hands and feet" of Jesus.
We find ourselves doing this in a multitude of ways:

First, the vision for our church is simply to "Bring Hope to the Hopeless", this sounds as if we think those less fortunate than ourselves, or those who have encountered trouble and/or problems in their lives are the people of whom I am speaking. But, it goes much further and deeper than that, no matter if you are that beat down, desperate person, or the most successful person in the community, if you do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ and realize He alone is your salvation, then you are "hopeless".

Therefore, we believe as a "Faith Community" that God has and is calling us to this purpose first and foremost.

Secondly, children find a safe haven where they are loved unconditionally and have a hot meal each Wednesday evening with a lively and energetic time of worship.

Thirdly, the time for both women and men to grow closer to each other and to Jesus is specifically set aside for them on Wed. evenings.

Fourth, intentional ministry focused at reaching our community happens each Tuesday night with visitation teams spreading out in the community and a ministry team leading worship at Ouachita Correctional Center.

There are many other ways in which God is using people here at this "Faith Community" and there will be introductions to each leader and their specific ministry as we "build" this blog in the coming days.

Thanks for you comments and recommendations.
